Our founder, Domingo Iguña Salvador, at Prodome 1992

Iguña was founded in 1977 by Domingo Iguña Salvador as Carpintería Aluminio Iguña who, with the effort and business vision that characterized him,
It was reorienting its activity at the same time that the market began to demand Clean Rooms.

In 2002, Ismael Iguña joined the business, renaming the company Iguña Montajes SL and surrounding himself with a great technical and human team. Since then, there has been constant innovation in the company’s specialization in Classified Areas. As a result, Iguña has specialized in the national market, expanded
internationally and both engineering services and business lines have been expanded.

The turning point at the current moment of Iguña culminates with the change of name to Iguña Pharmaceutical Technologies SL, adapting to the main activity of the company, and with the launch of the Sanitary Architecture business lines – MCP and Protective Equipment and Containment – Kirhtech.

For more than 10 years, the Iguña Pharma Quality Management System has been certified and renewed by Bureau Veritas in accordance with the European standards of the standard. UNE-EN ISO: 9001 . Accrediting the quality guarantee offered by the company in all the internal processes that derive in the Design, Manufacture and Installation of Clean Rooms.

In carrying out Projects, Executions and Validations of Classified Areas, Iguña Pharma ensures compliance with the strictest regulations for Clean Rooms of the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration), always adapted to the activity that will take place within each area.

Impact on Projects

In all its works, Iguña details Health and Safety plans in order to prevent accidents and scrupulously comply with the legislation. During the course of the works, periodic audits are carried out to ensure compliance with said plan.

Iguña’s work in this field was recognized, in 2011, by Pfizer. Receiving the Best Company Award for its Commitment to Safety and Compliance with Planning.

The results of good management are reflected in the Egarsat Certificates, which detail the reduction, in recent years, of the incidence, frequency and severity of work accidents.

Team Impact

The human team is the engine of Iguña, therefore, protecting our workers is a priority.

To do this, we have:

  • Advisory service in Work Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.
  • Periodic training in PRL (Occupational Risk Prevention), both for our engineers and office staff, as well as for our factory and construction workers.
  • Medical coverage for contingencies derived from work accidents and personal illnesses.
  • Medical reviews.

Sustainability

Iguña translates respect for the environment and sustainable development into facts, based on the International Standard UNE-EN ISO 14001: 2004, to reduce the environmental footprint.

Iguña has developed a Sustainability Plan with the aim of reducing both the waste emitted and the environmental impact of our activities.

The basis of the plan is collected in the following points:

  • Application of recycling policies and selective collection of waste and waste both in offices and production and on site.
  • Reduction in the amount of CO2, waste and water per unit of product produced.
  • Reduction of noise and vibrations produced by the performance of work and movement of machinery.
  • Reduction of the emission of particles and gases through the improvement of efficiency in the processes.
  • Elimination of hazardous composition waste in accredited landfills.
